Competition Rules – 2024

(A)  For all over 35 competition, players must be born 1989 or earlier.

(B)  For all over 45 competition,players must be born 1979 or earlier.  2 underage in squad 40 plus born 1984 or earlier (2 Players on the field at any time)  (Player name MUST be highlighted on the team sheet and WEAR ARMBAND)

(C)   For all over 55 competition, players must be born 1969 or earlier.  4 underage in squad 50 plus born 1974 or earlier (3 Players on field at any time & a goal keeper)  (Players name MUST be highlighted on the team sheet and WEAR ARMBAND)

1.     Proof of identity and age of all players must be available by each club to the organising committee upon request.  Failure to comply means player or players concerned will not be permitted to take part in the tournament. Copy of driver's License is ok.

2.    Players registered with ‘A’ League, NPL1, NPL2 or NPL3 Senior or Reserves are not eligible to take part in this competition (including any player registered overseas).  If they have appeared in the team sheet for their club’s seniors or reserves during the last official season. Excluding practice matches.

3.     Players can only play with teams that they are listed with and therefore cannot play with another team in the competition.  A player cannot play with over 35 and over 45 even if it is the same club.

ENTRY FEE

  • Over 35 Teams is $1300.00 per team.  Min 4 games. Max 22 players per team followed by Semi  & Final for qualified teams (approx. $60 p/player)
  • Over 45 Teams is $1450.00 per team.  Min 5 games. Max 22 players per team followed by  Semi & Final for qualified teams   (approx. $65 p/player)
  • Over 55 Teams is $1550.00 per team.  Min 6 games. Max 22 players per team followed by Semi & Final for qualified teams (approx. $70 p/player)

*** Refundable Security Bond of $250 per team is additional to team entry fee.

Full payment must be paid latest before first team game, with Full playing list of a maximum of 22 players must be submitted with D.O.B, Insurance Indemnity waiver form to be signed by every player and playing strip form filled in.

Note! Players can be added or deleted until the first official game of the team in the competition by advising the officials of the organising committee.  No player can be added to the list after the first game.

4.     Any club playing an ineligible player, or a player not on the list without the consent of the organising committee, will be immediately withdrawn from the tournament and will forfeit all monies paid, results of any games played will be amended to record a 0-3 loss and the games still to be played will record the same result of 0-3.                                      

5.    Should any team withdraw from the tournament after commencement, points shall be allocated as above (5) and all monies paid shall be forfeited.

6.    Any team being short of players due to start a match may commence with a minimum of seven players, if less than seven players, the team will concede a walkover to the opposing team with a 0-3 score and will be fined $150 with the fine donated to charity organisation.

7.     Any team not ready to kick off within 15 minutes of the scheduled starting time will automatically concede the points and a score of 0-3 will be recorded and $150 fine imposed.

8.     The first named team on the fixture is deemed the “HOME” team, if the referee’s rule that there is a clash of colours, and then the away team shall change their strip.  It is requested that each participating team carry two sets of different colour strips.  Every club is to give the organising committee the colours of their first and second choice strips before the commencement of the competition. FFV rules shall apply – shirts must be worn tucked in and shin pads must be worn.

9.     Matches will consist of 2 x 40-minute halves, with a maximum 5/10-minute break between halves, up to semi-final stage.  The semi-finals and the finals will be 2 x 45-minute halves and in the event of a tied score at full time, NO EXTRA TIME , will go straight to a penalty shoot-out under FFV rules shall apply to decide the match.

10. Player's interchange shall apply during the match, all players on that day’s team sheet may come on and off at any time during the game ONLYwith the knowledge and consent of the match officials.

11.  Completed team sheets, including player’s names and shirt numbers, your team official’s name, must be handed to the match official BEFORE THE GAME CAN COMMENCE.

12.  Two yellow cards in one match will result with a send-off and in an automatic one match suspension.  If a red card is awarded to a player, an automatic minimum one match suspension applies, subject to the referee report and $150 player fine.  If the offence is deemed serious, then the disciplinary committee shall consider the incident.  If it is serious enough, the case will be referred to FFV for consideration.

13.  Two yellow cards accumulated during the group stage will incur suspension from the next game, will reset for finals.

14.  After every game, the team official will be notified if any of their players have been booked by the referee, to avoid any misunderstanding if there are any complaints to be done while the referee is still on the ground.

15.  Each club is responsible for their player’s safety, injuries, etcetera, if the club so desires, they should ensure their players that are not covered by FFV or private cover.  The organising committee takes no responsibility for any injury to players, officials, or spectators.  In any disputation the committee’s decision is final.

16.  No insurance cover is provided by Manningham Juventus Old Boys Social Club for any club or player pursuant to their participation in this competition. Each club and player must take out their own insurance and Manningham Juventus Old Boys Social Club accepts no liability for any loss or damage of any kind suffered by any participating club or player in connection with their participation in this competition.

17. Any participating club seeking insurance coverage in order to participate in this competition must obtain such coverage on their own accord, including but not limited to insurance coverage for players registered to represent that club in this competition.

18.  Please Note:  In the past years it has been noted in the later qualifying rounds, that if a team cannot make the finals, they often have a shortage of players, which is not fair to the competition.  Should this occur for the 2024 competition, the offending team or teams will be fine $250.00 and may not be invited in future competitions.

19.  Trophies for Best and Fairest and Runners Up in all categories will be supplied – votes 3, 2, 1 will be given by the three Match Officials.
